Frequently Asked Qs
When should I book my travel?
ASAP! The fall is a very busy time in the Valle so it’s best to reserve a hotel early. We recommend booking Thursday - Sunday but if you can only swing the weekend, that’s great too.
Do I need to bring my passport?
Yes! You likely won’t need to show it on the way into Mexico but you’ll surely need it to get back into the US. We also highly recommend Global Entry as it will save a few hours on the return trip (be sure to bring the physical card!).
How do I get to Valle de Guadalupe?
The short answer is fly to San Diego & then drive 90 mins to Valle, but check the Travel page for the nitty gritty.
If I fly in, is there a driver service I can use?
Yes! we recommend Baja Society Tours based in San Diego and Carlos Tours based in Baja. you can book from either San Diego airport or Tijuana Airport. booking from the Mexico side is significantly less expensive than San Diego but please reach out to them directly for your quote based on number of people and time of arrival.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The wedding will be entirely outdoors.
What’s the weather like?
As Conde Nast put it: “The valley cups the cool, ocean air drifting inland to form a Mediterranean microclimate—dry hot days, a firm afternoon breeze, cool nights—that makes Valle de Guadalupe a very good place to make wine.” We predict it will be 70s/80s during the day and 60s at night - dress for summer but definitely bring a sweater or jacket with you. You will find the weather by searching for Francisco Zarco, Baja California Mexico to get the most accurate weather closer to the date.
What should I wear?
Friday night will be Resort Casual, wear whatever is comfortable & fun, and bring a jacket just in case.
For Saturday, Colorful Cocktail attire is best and have fun with it - bright colors, bold prints, etc. Light or dark suits for men (ties optional!). Looking for some inspiration? Check the mood board we made. Remember to bring a jacket for nighttime, it will get chilly.
As far as footwear, some paths may be gravel & dirt so block heels are probably best, but do you!
Will you accommodate for my allergies or dietary restriction?
Yes! If you have special dietary needs, please let us know in your RSVP & we’ll accommodate.
